Chappy Rating: 6.5/10 🧸 Genre: Crime/Thriller | Time: 1 hour 48 minutes | Where to watch: Netflix  This thriller follows Ted Bundy (Zac Efron), a famous and charismatic serial killer and law student, as he uses his smarts and lawyer skills to try to escape sentencing for his crimes, which included multiple murders, attempted murders, and rapes. The movie also shows the perspective of Ted's longtime girlfriend Liz (Lily Collins), a kind and shy single mom that does not want to believe Ted was capable of the horrid crimes he committed. Ted is very crafty in the way he can escape a courtroom, make a jury laugh, and be his own attorney.  We gave this movie a 6.5 because while it was well made and it was interesting to see the legal side of catching Ted Bundy, it would have been a lot more interesting to watch all the gory stuff Ted did and how he managed to get away with it so long. The actors for this movie were really well chosen and they did their parts very well. Overall, it was

Chappy Rating: 8/10 🧸  Genre: Romance/Fantasy | Time: 2 hours 4 minutes | Where to watch: Netflix      When Tim, a young awkward British ginger, is told by his father that the men in his family are able to time travel, he uses his newly-found power to help him find love. While at a restaurant with his friend, he meets Mary (Rachel McAdams), a shy American girl, who he immediately falls in love with. However, when he helps his dad's friend with his play by going back in time, he messes up meeting Mary. Tim then realizes he must be careful with his powers and that what he changes in the past might have unintended consequences.     This is a very heartwarming and uplifting movie that was simply enjoyable to watch. Although more of an explanation of how they could time travel would be helpful, we liked how the movie did not change Tim from a simple and goofy guy. No dramatic changes were made, he just used his powers to change simple scenarios in his life that he thought he could do

She is quick to resent Melissa, Ronnie's former girlfriend (Margaret Qualley), for reopening the wound that tore their family apart. Charlene's younger son, Phillip (Nick Robinson), chooses to help Melissa because he believes she has genuine intentions. Little do they know the truth about why she is pregnant and why this would put all their lives in jeopardy.  While the movie was well made and had an interesting plot, it was slow to get to the climax, and then the rest of the movie seemed to go by very fast. Chappy Rating: 6/10 🧸 Genre: Horror/Thriller | Time: 1 hour 54 minutes | Where to watch: Netflix This thriller follows Marry Morris (Kristin Davis), a successful writer, who is pushed to write another book in her famous series. She is unable to do this while taking care of her kids, so she decides to look for nannies. After many disappointing interviews, she meets Grace (Greer Grammar), a sweet and innocent girl who seems perfect for her children. At first, all is well, but Mary finds herself attracted to her new nanny. Soon, things take a turn for the worse. While interesting and thrilling, there were parts of this movie that left us confused and with questions. This movie did have its fair share of steamy scenes, especially between Mary and Grace, maybe a couple too many. The plot was a great idea, however, it could have been executed better.

Chappy Rating: 8.5/10 🧸 Genre: Comedy/Drama | Time: 2 hours | Where to watch: Amazon Prime This heartwarming movie follows the Wagner couple, Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) as they struggle to keep their three newly adopted children under control. Lizzy, the oldest, is very stubborn and hard to trust. She believes no one can care for her younger siblings better than her. Juan, the middle child, is very emotional and clumsy. You cannot raise your voice at him or he will start crying, even when he breaks almost everything in your house. And Lita, the youngest, is a handful. She uses foul language and has a very violent imagination. Even though these children are hard to manage, Pete and Ellie will do anything for them, even when their birth mother tries to get back into the picture. This movie made us tear up a few times because you get so immersed in this family. They did an amazing job of showing the highs and lows of adoption and what a difficult process it is. The mov

Chappy Rating: 7.5/10 🧸 Genre: Romance/Drama | Time: 2 hours 8 minutes | Where to watch: Netflix This romantic movie follows the life of Tim Conigrave (Ryan Corr) while he navigates being a gay boy/man in Australia. It starts off with him being a thespian schoolboy in the mid-1970s at a Jesuit Catholic school and crushing on a boy named John (Craig Scott), who luckily is also gay. They quickly fall in love but their families are not accepting of homosexuality. Despite what their parents thought, Tim and John keep seeing each other anyway, hoping that all will be okay in the end. The movie takes a turn when both of them test positive for aids, and John gets really sick. While a little confusing to follow because of the way the movie jumps back and forth between years, this movie was very powerful in showing the hardships gay people had to go through, especially in the '70s and '80s. We appreciated the realisticness of how homophobia can cause someone to react in some regretta
